Tia sat in the police station, still in shock from the news of her mother's murder. She couldn't believe that someone had taken her away from her so suddenly. As she sat there, staring blankly at the wall, a man walked in and introduced himself as Detective Jameson.
"Miss Evans, I'm here to investigate your mother's murder. I know this is a difficult time for you, but I need to ask you a few questions," he said.
Tia nodded, still unable to speak. Detective Jameson began asking her about her mother's daily routine, her friends and acquaintances, and if there was anyone who might have had a motive to harm her.
As Tia answered his questions, she couldn't help but feel like something was off. There was a strange energy in the room, and she couldn't quite put her finger on it. Suddenly, she heard a faint whisper in her ear, but when she turned around, no one was there.
"Miss Evans, are you alright?" Detective Jameson asked, noticing her sudden change in demeanor.
"I...I think so. I just thought I heard something," Tia replied.
Detective Jameson looked at her skeptically but decided to continue with his questioning. As he was about to leave, Tia stopped him.
"Detective, can I ask you something?" she said.
"Of course, what is it?"
"Do you believe in ghosts?"
Detective Jameson chuckled. "No, Miss Evans, I don't believe in ghosts. Why do you ask?"
Tia hesitated for a moment before speaking. "I've been hearing strange noises and whispers ever since we moved into our house in Kensington. And now, after my mother's murder, I can't shake the feeling that there's something...unnatural...going on."
Detective Jameson looked at her with concern. "I'll make sure to look into it, Miss Evans. But for now, I need you to stay strong and stay safe."
As he left the room, Tia couldn't help but feel like there was something he wasn't telling her. She decided to take matters into her own hands and investigate the strange occurrences in her house. Little did she know, she was about to uncover a mystery that would change her life forever.
